Girl Scouts of the Chesapeake Bay is a leading expert on, and advocate for, girls’ issues. The mission of Girl Scouts is to build girls of courage, confidence, and character who make the world a better place. In addition to the traditional troop model, we utilize non-traditional models to create adult/girl partnership opportunities. Our Outreach Program's mission is to reach girls who are living in economic deprivation and experience daily challenges. In Kent County Girl Scouts serve approximately 126 girls and 55 adult volunteers. Funding from United Way supports local girls served through volunteer led troops and Outreach Programs. Current Outreach Programs include the Carter Center and Kent County Parks and Recreation.
