The Compass Regional Hospice team offers individuals, families and the community "Care on your terms" through comprehensive, professional and compassionate end-of-life care and grief support. An authority on end-of-life issues, Compass Regional Hospice provides the highest quality service for patients and families while maintaining a fiscally sound and progressive organization led by compassionate, committed, caring and trustworthy professionals and volunteers. Since 1985, Compass Regional Hospice has been dedicated to supporting and helping people through the difficult and challenging time of living with a life-limiting illness. What began as an all-volunteer organization has since developed into a visionary, state-of-the-art organization recognized locally, regionally and statewide for its excellence. In addition to our home hospice and bereavement care programs, we offer Bridges, a program that provides non-medical supportive services and encouragement for individuals who have been diagnosed with a life-limiting illness. When care in a patient's home is not possible, our residential hospice centers serve as a comfortable, medically supportive alternative for patients who need around-the-clock care. These home-like settings, located in Centreville and Chestertown, are each specifically designed for the comfort, privacy and well-being of patients and their families. Compass Regional Hospice is a national partner of "We Honor Veterans," a campaign developed by the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization in collaboration with the Department of Veterans Affairs. Through this program, we gratefully acknowledge our military and service men, women and families. We aim to create a veteran-centric organization through education, strategic partnership, resources and veteran recognition. Our mission is to serve our nation's veterans who have served us. Compass Regional Hospice is a fully licensed, independent, community-based nonprofit organization certified by Medicare and the state of Maryland and accredited by the Joint Commission. It is affiliated with the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization and the Hospice & Palliative Network of Maryland.
