Girl Scouts of the Chesapeake Bay is a leading expert on, and advocate for, girls’ issues. The mission of Girl Scouts is to build girls of courage, confidence, and character who make the world a better place. For 110 years, Girl Scouts have demonstrated resilience, learned the skills, and cultivated the sisterhood that help them impact their communities. In this time of uncertainty, our mission continues. Girls are facing many challenges including school closures, disrupted routines and the isolation that comes with social distancing, pain and reckoning with racial injustice, financial hardship, and personal stress impacting mental health and well-being. At Girl Scouts we focus on building community and sisterhood, appreciating everyone’s unique value, and supporting one another. We continue to provide girls in K-12th grades with girl-led, girl-only programming in the core areas of STEM, the outdoors, life skills, and entrepreneurship.
