The ‘Chestertown United’ themed First Friday on September 7 was a terrific community gathering. Our thanks to Downtown Chestertown Association for leading this, and to Washington College for partnering and promoting this to their students. United Way of Kent County’s 26 Member Agencies lined High Street to share their good work as we kicked off our 2018-19 Campaign. A highlight for the agencies is that several of them signed up new volunteers from among the students and the general public. This was truly a successful event uniting downtown merchants, the College, United Way, and our County’s human services’ providers!
