Samaritan Group, Inc.

The Samaritan Group is an interfaith service ministry based in Kent County, Maryland, and serving persons in Kent County and upper Queen Anne's County, Maryland. Our purpose is to provide emergency shelter and other assistance to homeless and low-income individuals and families in Kent County Md. Such assistance includes provision of emergency shelter for homeless persons during the months of January - March, and a Local Outreach Program conducted in cooperation with other local charitable organizations helping with such emergency needs as preventing utility cutoff or eviction. Assistance is provided on the basis of need to persons of all faiths or none, and without any unlawful discrimination. Local Outreach is located at 1st United Methodist Church, Chestertown, MD. Customers must be screened by Kent County Department of Social Services before coming to the church. During the summer months, we are open 10am - noon on Tuesdays.
